Venture Global Raises $81 Million for Proposed LNG Facility
Washington, D.C.-based Venture Global LNG Inc. raised around $81.4 million in the company’s sixth round of equity financing.
In the past three years the company, which plans liquefied natural gas export facilities in Plaquemines and Cameron parishes, has raised $361 million. The proceeds of the latest funding round will fund Venture Global’s development of the facilities.
Co-CEOs Mike Sabel and Bob Pender said the investment represents the capital markets’ confidence in Venture Global’s ability to develop 30 million tons of LNG production.
A third of the total is expected to come from a $4.5 billion facility under development in Cameron Parish, and the rest from a planned $8.5 billion Plaquemines Parish facility.
