Venture Global LNG appoints new member to Board of Directors
Venture Global LNG Inc. has announced that it has appointed Terry Newendorp to its Board of Directors. Newendorp, who is a highly regarded energy financial advisor, was the founder and former Chairman of Taylor-DeJongh – an independent investment bank. Here, he advised clients in the energy infrastructure space, including LNG. Prior to his appointment to the Board, Newendorp had acted in advisory capacity to the company.
The Co-CEOs of Venture Global LNG Inc., Mike Sabel and Bob Pender, said: “We are pleased to have a professional of such high calibre serving on our board. Mr. Newendorp’s deep expertise in LNG project development and finance will add value to our company as we approach final investment decision (FID) for our two LNG projects in Louisiana.”
During his time at Taylor-DeJongh, Newendorp acted as a financial advisor on over 27 LNG production trains, over 77 000 MW of power generation and over 26 000 km of pipelines.
Venture Global LNG is currently in the process of developing the 10 million tpy Venture Global Calcasieu Pass facility, located on an 1000 acre (approximately) site at the intersection of the Calcasieu Ship Channel and the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to this, it is developing the 20 million tpy Venture Global Plaquemines LNG facility, which is located in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, US, located on a 630 acre (approximately) site at river mile marker 55 on the Mississippi River, 30 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana.
